So Thursday a snow storm hit my area of the East Coast. I left work early and ended up staying home Friday because my car does not handle snow and ice-covered roads. I was excited because I thought I’d be getting some work done on my stories. Looking at my pending folder in Word, I have three pending chapters for existing stories and I have four one shots waiting to be completed.
But then a funny thing happened on Friday.
My husband started binge watching Arrow, and I got hooked. For three days, I have been on the couch or in a bed watching somewhere close to forty episodes of this show. It reminds me of True Blood in that there are parts I love, parts I loathe, and I’m rooting for a couple that the writers give us glimpses of seeing together only to tear it apart.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All you lovely readers weren’t going to get any updates this evening, but the muse hit me over the head hard and I was able to finish this chapter of A Queen’s Command. It is literally hot off the presses and has not been reviewed by my lovely beta.
I love arrow as well!! Oliver and Felicity forever!!!
Let’s hope this is it for the snow shall we. (Though to be honest one more snow day would let me catch up on A Queen’s Command). But hopefully no more snow and I can find some time to somewhere.
Hope all is well!
Knock wood, I have been feeling well. Let’s hope it continues.
Reblogged this on Kittyinaz's Reblog Page.
love Arrow, and Steve Amell is an awesome FB friend. as for beta’ing, i knew i didn’t see anything from you. KY
I totally sympathise about Arrow… It is best watched in bulk because the quality of the writing is wobbly at times. Having said that, plenty to enjoy… If you want to read the best photo-recaps ever, this brilliant lady on Tumblr does them… http://atom1cflea.tumblr.com/post/98580974706/all-my-arrow-photo-edits-in-one-place
(She also photorecaps my other guilty pleasure, Outlander, as a show much better written and acted overall but there isn’t a lot of it – 8 eps so far)
