The best laid plans . . .

. . . fall to shit.  This weekend was supposed to be one where I would spend the majority of my time writing.  Hubby was away both Friday night and all day today.  I had plans to write chapters for both The Choices We Make and In His Honor.  But what have I done this weekend???????  Not a damn thing due to the raging migraine that invaded my skull Saturday morning and still has not left.

I’m not even addressing the elephant in the room known as True Suck, because if the rumors are true, I’ll be adding digestive pyrotechnics to my list of ailments if I’m forced to watch a Bill/Sookie sex scene.  Thank God my husband isn’t home to hear me scream at the TV tonight.  He gets a perverse sense of enjoyment by how much I hate watching this show anymore.

So here are your story updates for this week.  Thanks as always to my wonderful beta team, kleannhouse and magsmacdonald.  If you haven’t noticed, mags has started posting a new story which I am proud to be the beta for.  It’s entitled Even the Dead Can Scar; she’s posted through Chapter 3.  Keep an eye out for updates.  And in other related news, mags has decided to torture me with Frozen references since my 40-year old husband is fond of asking, “Do you want to build a snowman?”  I’d say I’d take the high road and ignore her shenanigans, but here is my response.

fire

Sometimes you gotta fight fire with fire . . . or in this case, I’m fighting the frozen tundra.

Speaking of fire . . .

There are two contests that are in desperate need of votes.  Kittyinaz made banners of some her characters as angels consumed by flames.  If you are interested in reading the stories, click here.  And not to be outdone, Kelpie has a Twins contest this month featuring one sexy Swede.  If you are interested in reading those stories, click here.  I may have entered a story or two in the contests . . . .I can neither confirm nor deny such allegations.

And by now y’all are probably like, just post the f’in update already.  A few warnings….

About mistressjessica1028

What can I say? My little shipper heart hated how SVM and TB treated Eric, so I have made it my mission to create worlds where the Viking always gets the girl. :-)

  1. AHHHH – so you did want to play? I’m so happy.

Tell the headache to GO AWAY.

Of course I want to play….I had an entire idea of what my response was going to be. But alas, the Seven Dwarves Mining Company that has set up shop at the base of my skull had other ideas.

If only I could make this pain go away….

Sorry to hear about your headaches… Hope they go away soon!
I noticed when I get your notifications, the email appears to come from ‘WordPress.com’ (rather than from MistressJessica1028). I think you can change this in your WP settings though I couldn’t tell you where myself. It isn’t a big deal but it can get confused with a standard WP notification for spam etc. (which I get a lot for my work WP sites).
Thank you for the update to Queen’s Command – I love that story!
