Or do you prefer Truly Fucked? I think either title fits for this season of True Blood. True Suck works as well (Thank you Meridian!) but I have a potty mouth (as my mother pointed out on her surprise visit yesterday. Seriously, just dropped on my doorstep when I thought she was in Tampa. Who does that?!?!?!?!?!)
And while I appreciate the hotness Alex is displaying in these pictures, I hated the scene between Eric and Jason. Not because I hate gay sex scenes (I lived with a drag queen for a year, I’ve seen it all honey child!), but because it’s cringe-worthy and utterly pointless. Alex wasn’t kidding when he said it plays like an Argentinian soap opera. I’m watching the episode again as I write this (because I’m a glutton for punishment), and I just feel like I’m being force feed a big heaping pile of shit! You know as soon as Jason enters the scene that it’s a dream. So then I’m left wondering why is Jason still having dreams about Eric six months after he took his blood? Why isn’t Sookie still having dreams about Bill or Eric? And then the wheels keep spinning, millions of questions being asked, and I have no answers. But I will say this, kudos to Alexander Skarsgard and Ryan Kwanten for being able to get through that scene with a straight face; it took tremendous skill to pull that shit off.
Enough about that . . . I know I’m late but I want to say Happy Fourth of July to my American readers. I spent my life around Army bases; my mother worked for the Department of Defense. Soldiers were all around me as a kid; and I never really gave them much thought. It wasn’t until 9/11 that I actively started paying attention to the military. I don’t know about you, but it takes someone with a tremendous sense of patriotism, honor, and selflessness to be a member of the Armed Services; and even more so to re-enlist time and time again. I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t always agree with how our troops our used, but that’s not their fault; they are merely following orders. Yes, I know there are bad apples out there, but that happens every where. Just remember, the brave men and women of our Armed Forces go through indescribable horrors that we can never imagine; they suffer in some of the world’s harshest climates; and most importantly, they put their lives on the line every day to protect us while they leave their loved ones at home for months/years on end. So thank you from the bottom of my heart.
With that said here are your weekly story updates. I need to thank magsmacdonald and kleannhouse for their skills. Kleannhouse even checked one of the chapters on the Fourth of July for me. The story updates this week are for Hanging in the Balance and In His Honor. Maybe it was the holiday, but the muse was strong for IHH this week: you get two chapters.
And before I forget, check out the new warning labels Kelpie made that I’m stealing for these chapters . . .
And there is also a lemon warning.
And let’s double that tissue warning . . .
Until next week my lovelies . . .
